Eleanor Oliphant is perfectly fine: she works as an accountant, drinks on weekends, and on Wednesdays talks with her mother, who is far away. Eleanor is unlucky: she is surrounded by unremarkable people with primitive tastes and a poor vocabulary (as she thinks). But all that changes when, once going to a concert, she sees an elegantly dressed rock musician. Eleanor knows right away that it's him. However, while she is preparing for a significant meeting, she has to settle for a much more modest company.
Eleanor Oliphant is fine. That's what she says. But she tries not to remember the past and is saved by vodka from insomnia.
Gradually, a funny story about the life of a socially maladapted woman turns into a sad, touching story about childhood trauma, love and loneliness. A story that will leave no one indifferent.
