Max Stirner (1806-1856) was a German philosopher who was a longtime follower of Georg Hegel and his disciples, the Young Hegelians. He is considered the founder of the philosophy of individualistic anarchism and the forerunner of existentialism and postmodernism. Many of his ideas were later borrowed by Friedrich Nietzsche. Max Stirner's main work "The One and His Property" is a radical criticism of Christianity, nationalism and morality, on the one hand, and on the other hand - humanism, liberalism and socialism. The philosopher denies all traditional values and fully justifies human egoism, which is for him the embodiment of individual freedom.
