On the outskirts of the city, among the standard new buildings, stands the Gray House, where Sphinx, Blind, Lord, Tabaki, Macedonian, Black, and many others live. It's unknown if Lord actually comes from a noble dragon family, but the Blind Man is truly sightless, and the Sphinx is wise and mysterious. Tabaqui is certainly no jackal, though he does like to prey on other people's goods. Everyone in the House has his own nickname, and everyone has lived in it for one day as much as we sometimes do not live for a whole life in the Outside. Each one was accepted or rejected by the House. The House kept a lot of secrets, and banal "skeletons in closets" - only the most understandable corner of the invisible world, where there is no way out of the Outside, where the usual laws of space-time cease to operate. A home is much more than just a boarding school for children who have been abandoned by their parents. Home is their separate universe.
