Imagine a wonderful villa in the suburbs of Florence. Seven charming girls and three virile handsome men are enjoying life: enjoying the beauty of nature, telling each other racy stories, and occasionally having a couple's private time. And outside the villa people die by the thousands from the plague...Reminiscent at a superficial glance erotic melodrama "Decameron" by Giovanni Boccaccio - one of the most famous and significant works of the early Renaissance in Italy. The novel's framing plot, which includes one hundred novellas, contains a myriad of symbols, historical, cultural, and religious references. At the same time, it intertwines completely different genres: tragedy, comedy, satire, anecdote, utopia ... The main screen version of "The Decameron" directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini was released in 1971 as part of the "Trilogy of Life" and received a special jury prize at the Berlin Film Festival. In 2015, a new vision of the collection of short stories was presented by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, creators of the film Caesar Must Die.
