Keiko Furukura has been working part-time at Combi, a Japanese mini-market, for eighteen years. She is withdrawn and unlike her peers: she lives alone, doesn't date, has no family, and has no desire to start a family or find a steady job. Her whole life is subordinated to the routine of combo, where she knows by heart every product and every shelf. However, Keiko seems strange to those around her. She's always getting stares and hearing from her friends, "You'll find yourself a man...". But one day a new employee appears in the combine, who turns Keiko's life upside down....
