Several poignant stories about old age—though they deal with the inevitable, still evoke hope and kindness between the lines. It's gratifying to see so many funny stories, truly funny, that is, laugh out loud. And, finally, the most valuable thing is the beautiful language our authors use: rich, inventive, vibrant, and very familiar—in other words, sunny, like the entire collection, which we named after the symbol of the sun.
