Anne Frank is perhaps one of the most famous victims of the Holocaust. At the age of 13, she began keeping a diary, which later became a worldwide bestseller and was translated into more than 70 languages. Through her story, Anna was able to convey the tragedy of the millions of victims of Nazism. Seventy-five years after Anne Frank's death, Gerard Kremer, the son of a member of the Resistance during World War II, investigates the Frank family's betrayal based on the recollections of his father and other witnesses. According to Kremer's testimony, the Frank family was betrayed by Anse Van Dijk, a Jewish woman who turned other Jews over to the Nazis. She became the only woman in the Netherlands to receive the death penalty for collaborating with the Nazis. Although her guilt in the Frank family betrayal case was never definitively proven at the time, this book reveals many previously unknown facts that may be the key to unraveling this tangled and terrible story.
