In January 2003, the book's protagonist found a postcard from an anonymous sender in her mailbox. One side of the card was decorated with an image of the Paris Opera House, and on the other side were written the names of the narrator's maternal great-grandparents and two other relatives who had died in Auschwitz in 1942.
Twenty years later, the heroine decides to find out who sent the postcard.
In knowing the world, don't forget to know yourself.....
This is a very simply written book. But it is a family saga, a historical detective and a social psychotherapy experience all at the same time. There will be a lot of celebrities and a bunch of unknown characters, generously breaded anxieties and hopes of the twentieth century. They will be traveling around the world, hiding, someone to save, someone to sacrifice. Disappear and be reborn in their descendants.
