The collected works of Lev Rubinstein (1947–2024), a poet and essayist who stood at the origins of Moscow Conceptualism, are an attempt to revisit his legacy and influence on the cultural context of the last fifty years. The author's works are not arranged chronologically or by genre: each volume is united by a single theme or concept that permeates his entire oeuvre—poetry, prose, essays, and journalism.

The first volume of the collection includes works related to his biography. Among them are poetry "card indexes"—poems written on bibliographic cards—memoirs and essays addressing his personal childhood experiences, the Soviet years, and the past in general. Rubinstein's poetry and prose, working with these themes, are particularly notable for their meticulous attention to language and irony over common clichés. At the same time, the reflection on profound childhood experiences and the acuity of childish perception come to the forefront. This authorial stance combines detachment and sincerity, making Rubinstein's intonation instantly recognizable.
