"The Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris" is a famous historical novel by Victor Hugo, published in March 1831. The success of the book attracted public attention to the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, which at the time was going to be demolished or rebuilt, and allowed to keep it intact.
