"Cinderella" - one of the most famous stories, the plot of which was embodied in fairy tales of different peoples of the world. The tale was first discovered in ancient Egyptian papyri. But the most popular of all was the version of the French writer and collector of folk tales Charles Perrault. And it is not surprising. After all, it is "Cinderella" Perrault is filled with sparkling lightness, irony and fun. It does not have the cruelty of the German version of the Grimm brothers' fairy tale or the emotional pretentiousness of "Cinderella the Cat" by the Italian Giambattista Basile. For this edition, the first edition of Charles Perrault's fairy tale from 1675 was re-translated. And the artist Anton Lomaev accompanied it with illustrations, sending the reader to France of the XVII century - the century of brilliant kings and court intrigues, magnificent balls, gilded carriages and musketeers, the century of golden fairy tales.
