Bruno Bear and his dog Lolla are the heroes of 4 picture books created by the contemporary Swedish artist Gunilla Ingves. Each book is dedicated to one of the seasons - winter, spring, summer and fall - and describes a day in the life of the characters, filled with activities and entertainment "in season". The main story of the book is "framed" by notes from Mishka Bruno's diary of observations, which are placed at the beginning and at the end of the book. They contain a lot of sketches and informative information from the world of nature. The first diary spread is devoted to the footprints of various animals in the snow, and the second to the moon and stars, which are especially good to look at in the clear winter sky. From here you can learn that there are seas and mountains on the moon, and that the brightest star is Sirius. And you can also learn what the constellations Orion, the Little and Big Dipper look like and how the solar system is organized. The books in the Bruno Bear series can be called a practical encyclopedia of the seasons for children ages 3-6.
