The new issue of Chtiv takes to the streets to trace how the intersection of different ideas gives birth to everything we watch, listen to, discuss, and, importantly, eat.

The category "street culture" encompasses a surprisingly diverse range of things. A young man in a tracksuit from the outskirts of the city goes viral on social media—breaking an average of tens of thousands of women's hearts a day. An old man from a diner in central Hong Kong cooks the best chicken in the world. An artist in a hoodie paints revealing graffiti on municipal buildings at night, and the next day, they appear as prints on T-shirts for fashion brands.

Music, style, gastronomy, language—all of this spontaneously emerges on the streets. And then, society changes.

The main character of this issue is the musician Dolphin, a great artist and the author of truly popular hits such as "Love" and "Spring." In a conversation with Sergey Minaev, he recalled the beginnings of the Russian underground, how it made its way onto television, and then onto the big stage.

In this same issue, the editorial team walked the streets of world capitals – from Beijing and Tokyo to London and New York. They recorded reports on what's happening on the streets of Moscow these days. And, of course, they discussed street food and how it's perceived in different parts of the world.
