This year's first and tenth issue of Chtiv is dedicated to women and their—in the best sense of the word—madness.

The editors searched for and found traces of Amazons in the Eurasian steppe and modern pop culture. They studied the phenomenon of girl bands. They discovered how great authors—from Flaubert to Gogol—depicted women, and how, for centuries, foreigners have imagined the image of the "Russian beauty" both to themselves and to the world. They asked comedian Yevgeny Chebatkov to talk about the woman who first recognized his talent for humor, and director Klim Kozinsky to describe what a man in love is capable of.

For the first time, TV presenter and blogger Yulia Menshova appeared on the cover of Chtiv (we promise it won't be the last). Sergey Minaev had an important and honest conversation with her about how to find your own identity as the daughter of famous parents, why societal pressure forces people to hide their last name, and how to raise children who know their grandfather won an Oscar.

The issue also features several more extensive interviews with the editor-in-chief, including women from various fields, and Yuri Muzychenko, the frontman of The Hatters, who clearly explains why it's best to rely on women.
