"Notes from Underground" by Fyodor Dostoevsky is a confession of a man who has distanced himself from society.

The nameless hero is smart, ready to argue with his contemporaries and expose the vices of the century, but he is a contradictory and unreliable narrator. Mentally returning to his past youth, he traces his tragic but natural path to the social underground.

"Notes from Underground" not only preceded Dostoevsky's "great Pentateuch", but also anticipated the ideas of existentialist philosophy.

The book also includes the story "The Meek One". It tells the story of a woman who grew up in poverty and was forced to marry a moneylender. This is an internal monologue of the protagonist, his frank story about his life with his wife, the Meek One. The story reveals the themes of love, sacrifice, cruelty and moral dilemmas that the characters face.

The publication is presented in stylish Young Adult design by contemporary artists.
