This book focuses on the SS armed formations known as SS troops - their creation, development and use. Of all aspects of SS activity, the history of the SS is the area that is most often the subject of falsification. This process began already in the 1950s and has been particularly active in the last 20 years. On the one hand, in Germany, the theme of "soldiers like everyone else" (i.e. that the SS soldiers in general were no different from the Wehrmacht soldiers - they just wore a different uniform) is constantly being disseminated - and quite successfully, on the other hand, it was the SS troops that included numerous national formations (Latvian, Estonian, Ukrainian), the veterans of which are now positioned in a number of countries as freedom fighters of their countries. The book examines in detail the history of the SS troops, their formations, their command staff and proves that the soldiers of the SS troops were not "soldiers like everyone else", they were ideologically motivated party formations, as well as collaborationist units, the purpose of which was the realization of Adolf Hitler's plans to create the Thousand-Year Nazi Reich.
