"The Vicomte de Bragelonne, or Ten Years Later" (1850) is the final book about the thrilling adventures of the four musketeers. Its events unfold in the second half of the 17th century, at the dawn of the reign of the "Sun King." Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and d'Artagnan have aged, but have not lost their former courage and spirit of adventure. These old friends once again find themselves caught up in a whirlwind of court intrigue and political conspiracies, testing the strength of their convictions and friendship. Raoul de Bragelonne, a noble young man who faces many trials ahead, inherits the values and traditions of the musketeers. This edition contains the first and second volumes of the novel. It presents the text of "The Vicomte de Bragelonne" in a translation by the Russian writer and journalist Vladimir Mikhailovich Stroyev (1812-1862). The illustrations for the novel were created by the Italian artist Gustavo Rosso (1881–1950), also known as Gustavino. His precise and expressive drawings depict the novel's characters and scenes in detail, helping the reader immerse themselves in the era and connect with the characters' experiences.
