Old Testament Apocrypha
19.99 €
This book contains the most outstanding works of Old Testament apocryphal literature. Among them is the Book of Enoch, filled with esoteric allegories, one of the most important apocrypha of the Old Testament, dedicated to the patriarch Enoch. Also included is the "Book of Jubilees," or as it is also called, "Little Genesis," an Old Testament apocryphon devoted to interpreting the Book of Genesis, which opens the Old Testament, and in part the book of Exodus. This book records an angel's account of several generations of the first people on earth. This message was dictated by the angel to Moses after the Jews arrived at Mount Sinai. And also the book includes "The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs" - one of the most significant works of all pseudepigraphic literature. The contents of this apocryphon are an ethical and apocalyptic treatise written in the name of each of the twelve patriarchs - the sons of the forefather Jacob - addressed to his brothers, his heir sons, and their descendants. Each part of this collection of farewell instructions and prophecies is devoted primarily to the glorification of a virtue or the condemnation of a vice.
