Veniamin Moiseevich Boguslavsky was a doctor of philosophy and a Soviet philosopher. He is the author of the book "Exercises in Logic", published in 1962. The manual is intended for secondary school students. The textbook allows schoolchildren to familiarize themselves with the basics of logic and teach them to apply this knowledge in real life. To successfully complete the course of logic, a student must correctly perform at least 15-20% of the exercises presented in the book. The teacher himself chooses the tasks and, if the pupil understands its condition, he can proceed to its fulfillment. Excellent knowledge of the discipline does not guarantee successful completion of the exercise. The main thing is to understand the example that is indicated in the condition of the task. In the "Exercises in logic" Bogousslavsky reveals what a "concept" and "judgment" are, describes the laws of logical thinking, explains what deduction and induction are. At the end of the course, the student should have clear ideas about the subject and apply knowledge in practice.
