A book of selected and new prose by Denis Osokin, one of the most original contemporary Russian-language writers, whose works were used in the films "Ovsyanki", "Nebesnye zheny lugovykh mari", "Angels and revolution" and others.
Osokin's texts - small cycles conceived as books - exist on the border of poetry and prose. Sometimes accompanying them with an indication of the fictitious time, place of publication and authorship - the geography of his books extends from Komi and Taimyr to East Germany, France and the Balkans - acting as an imaginary translator, he immerses us in the hidden world of his heroes, where alienation and isolation are combined with vitality and fatalism, and the earth becomes motley, multilingual.
This prose is characterized by a special organic, visual form: there are no capital letters, punctuation is simplified, and the text is arranged in a certain way on the page - this way the unnecessary is cut off, the text is filled with air and each word becomes accentuated.
