Writer Yuriy Petrovich Dold-Mikhailik (1903-1966), a true patriot of the Soviet Union, was the most popular Soviet Ukrainian writer. Having established connections with representatives of the KGB, in the 1950s and 60s he created a series of books about the Soviet illegal intelligence officer Grigory Goncharenko (aka Heinrich von Goldring). The novel "At the Black Knights" was almost never published in Russian. But Dold-Mikhailik created a gripping and dynamic spy detective story in which the two best intelligence agencies of the 20th century, the Soviet and American, clashed. And one of Dold-Mikhailik's characters made a speech that was later considered the "Alan Dulles Doctrine." Intelligence officer Goncharenko is still at his best. This means that fans of military adventures will find interesting reading!
