We offer readers a collection of fairy tales, verified by the classic eight-volume edition of 1929-1939, as well as other rare publications, with the restoration of all censorship cuts. The edition is accompanied by illustrations by the remarkable St. Petersburg artist Nikolai Alekseevich Ushin, for which he received the Gold Medal at the 1937 World Exhibition held in Paris. The third book includes the tales told by Shahrazade in 719-1001 Nights. Also included in the volume are tales not included in the classic eight-volume collection. Among them are such famous stories as "The Caliph for an Hour", "The Tale of Ala-ad-din and the Enchanted Lamp", "The Tale of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" and others.
