Gloomy humorous stories about the adventures of the Baudelaire children became so popular around the world that they formed the basis of the movie "Lemony Snicket. 33 Misfortunes," starring Jim Carrey, Jude Law and Meryl Streep. More recently, the company "Netflix" was filmed and the series of the same name. The main roles in it were performed by Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman and Louis Hines. The third season is scheduled to be released in 2019. The first volume of "The Misadventures Begin" included four novellas of the cycle: "The Grim Beginning", "The Snake Hall", "The Huge Window" and "The Sinister Sawmill".
