The book received its name from the word "treba", which in Old Russian meant "sacrifice", "sacrifice", "prayer", "performance of a sacred rite". Nowadays, the word "treba" refers to prayer and sacred actions performed at the request of one or more Christians in the special circumstances of their lives. The first part contains the sequences of the Sacraments: Baptism, Chrismation, Chrismation, Marriage, Consecration, Penance - and other Divine Services. With these prayers the Orthodox Church welcomes a person at his birth, sanctifies his life, and encourages him as he passes into eternity. In addition, this part of the Trebnik has three additional chapters, which contain the Monthly Calendar, an index of the names of the saints alphabetically, and the Paschalia. The second part of the Trebnik contains the prayers of various liturgical and religious-life rites.
