The little red tractor - Tractorishka Max - was born quite recently. He had just been assembled at the factory and immediately sent for sale to an agricultural equipment store. "I wish they had bought me sooner," Max dreamed. He couldn't wait to get to the farm to start working. And one day his dream came true. The farm owner and his family were very happy with Tractorishka. Max himself at first everything around was new, but he quickly got used to the farm and soon became an indispensable assistant. In the spring he plowed the fields and sowed wheat, in the summer he carried heavy loads and looked after the livestock, in the fall he harvested grain and sugar beets. At the end of the fall, when all the work was finished, Tractorishka was afraid that he was no longer needed by the farmer and that he would be taken back to the store. But, of course, this did not happen. The farmer took the tractor back to the store just for repairs. The foreman refurbished Max, fixed his headlight, fixed his dented exhaust pipe and painted over the scratches on the bodywork. Max was happy to be back on his home farm. Now he knew for sure that he was loved here and would never part with him. This book introduces kids to life on the farm, seasonal field work and the important role the tractor plays in it.
