Stalin. Step to the right.

This book is dedicated to one of the most dramatic periods of our history, which predetermined the fate of not only the USSR, but also modern Russia. The question was being decided whether or not there would be accelerated industrialization (the fruits of which we still enjoy today). The largest clans in the USSR leadership entered into a direct clash - the so-called "right" (Bukharin, Rykov and Tomsky), the so-called "left" (Trotsky, Zinoviev, Kamenev, Sokolnikov and Krupskaya) and Stalin's group, which was playing its own game. At the 14th Party Congress, relations between the Politburo members went beyond acceptable limits, and the discussion became a form of settling old scores. It was this clash that would lead Trotsky to exile and the "ice pick", Kamenev, Zinoviev and Bukharin to execution, and Stalin to absolute power. Why did Stalin unexpectedly support the "right" in those days, although he had openly criticized them only recently? What was the purpose of this strange "step to the right"? What did this lead to later? In this book, Doctor of Historical Sciences Yuri Zhukov, based on archival data, describes in detail and clearly the events that took place at the height of Soviet power in 1926-1927. The book is a continuation of Yuri Zhukov's work "The Other Side of the NEP".
