The book "Resistance to Bolshevism. 1917-1918" is the fourth volume in a series devoted to the White Movement in Russia and familiarizes the reader with the memoirs of participants of events and battles in Petrograd, Moscow, Orenburg, Yaroslavl, Crimea, the North Caucasus, the Urals, Central Asia.
The book is the first to present with such completeness the testimonies not only of the leaders of the anti-communist struggle, but also of its ordinary participants, allowing to visualize the situation and atmosphere of that time, the psychology and spiritual character of the first volunteers. With a few exceptions, the materials in the volume have never been published in Russia, and those published abroad are a bibliographic rarity. The volume is provided with a preface and extensive commentary, containing several hundred biographical notes on the authors and heroes of the essays, published for the first time.
