The book of memoirs of a prominent figure of the White Movement in the East of Russia, Chief of Staff of the Eastern Front of the Whites, Major General S.A. Shchepikhin, includes three of his major memoir texts: “Siberia under Kolchak”, “The End of the White Movement in Siberia” and “Semenovshchyna”. These memories, stored in the State Archives of the Russian Federation, cover the history of the White movement in the East of Russia from the summer of 1918 to the spring of 1920. General Shchepikhin was an eyewitness and participant in the events described. Together with the whites during the two years of the Civil War, he went from the Volga region to Transbaikalia. Shchepikhin’s memoirs were previously known only to specialists and are published in full for the first time.
