This is a reprint edition of the textbooks by K. P. Arzhenikov, created at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries. They enjoyed great popularity and were repeatedly reprinted.
Immediately after the revolution, the textbooks were revised in modern Russian orthography and with metric measures. Thanks to these textbooks it is possible to see and evaluate the level of elementary mathematical training of schoolchildren in the Russian Empire in the early twentieth century.
