Louisa May Olcott was an American writer, author of the famous novel "Little Women", which brought her worldwide fame and love of readers. To this day, the book remains one of the most significant works of American literature. In 1875 Olcott published a touching story about a girl named Rose, who after the death of her parents found a new home in a large friendly family Campbell. The writer could not part with the charming heroine (in addition, the first book was a success) and a year later wrote a sequel - the story "Rose in Bloom". After a two-year journey, Rose returns to her homeland, where she finds herself in the center of close attention of numerous admirers, of whom she is obliged, according to her aunts, to choose a husband. However, Rosa does not consider it necessary to hurry with the wedding, valuing her independence and making promising plans to conquer the high world. In this edition, the story "Rose in Bloom" is presented in a wonderful new translation by Alexandra Glebovskaya.
