Neither the newsreel, which spread at the same time, nor picturesque works - eloquent witnesses of the epoch, but still unreliable to a certain extent - preserved it in such a way. Prokudin-Gorsky's discoveries in the field of color photography made it possible to create a unique material, which now serves as a support in various fields of knowledge and is of interest not only to lovers of antiquity.
