A novel with cocaine
9.99 €
This scandalous novel, published under the pseudonym M. Ageyev in the 1930s in Parisian émigré periodicals, resonated with John Updike and William Burroughs, and its author was long tacitly believed to be Vladimir Nabokov. Only later did it emerge that the work was authored by another talented writer, the enigmatic Marc Levy.

The novel's young hero, the immoral egotist Vadim Maslennikov, quickly goes from an arrogant schoolboy with a disdain for convention to an irrevocably lost cocaine addict, plunged into an abyss of inner emptiness and the meaninglessness of existence.
