In this book by Christine Nöstlinger, a classic of Austrian children's literature, you will find a new series of stories about Franz, who is eight years old. Like all children, Franz just loves vacations, because on them you can do whatever you want. Franz doesn't even know what kind of vacation he likes the most: winter, summer, Easter or carnival (yes, there are even such vacations in Austria).
Summer vacations are the longest. Franz spends almost the whole month with his parents, and the rest of the time someone looks after him: Aunt Betty, Grandma, Nanny Lilly... But suddenly it turned out that this time everyone had urgent business and there was no one to look after Franz. So mom suggested Franz go to a children's camp. Why not? Franz agreed at first, but then he got scared: he had never been left all alone without his mom, dad and grandmother. What awaited Franz at the camp? Will he find new friends? What would happen if he went on strike? What if he dresses up as a ghost to get revenge on someone? "Franz and School Stories" is the perfect read for those just starting to read. There are nineteen books in the series in total, "Franz Stories and Vacation" is the fifth in the collection. "Tales of Franz" was the best book of 2013 according to Papamambook. For elementary school age.
