Vadim Kamenev, a writer, had long ago abandoned his work; he was not living, but just dragging out a meaningless existence. And endlessly chastised himself for not keeping track of his five-year-old daughter on the playground - dozed off, and the girl disappeared without a trace. Since then, a year has passed, but Vadim did not lose hope and did not stop looking. And one day he thought he saw his daughter in an Internet video!
The blogger was reporting from a godforsaken place called Verkhnie Vyazi. Salt was once mined there, but then huge sinkholes formed on this place, and the town began to slowly go under the ground. Vadim tried to contact the blogger, but learned from his sister that the guy was also missing. Then Kamenev himself went to Upper Elms, not suspecting what awaited him there....
