The lack of skill in thinking about the pandemic as an era is felt everywhere. Politicians' speeches "miss" the reality of their subjects, medical authorities' appeals contradict everyday experience, demands and prohibitions conflict with a new common sense. Disruptions lead to new crises. Plague riots are not an accident, not an excess, but traces of such ruptures in our past. This means that intellectuals must invest time and energy in inhabiting and domesticating the COVID era in which we find ourselves locked. The collective monograph "Goodbye, COVID?" aims to fill this gap and, in a sense, to take stock of the very capacity of Russian philosophical language to accommodate the situation of the pandemic. The collection includes texts by philosophers, sociologists, and political scientists from the country's leading intellectual centers.
