A sheep named Raghu and a wolf named Vok lived together in a house with an orange roof like a carrot. One evening they found a big nobody's egg on the road and brought it home. Wok wanted to make an omelet out of the egg, but the sheep wouldn't let him. And rightly so, because from the egg soon hatched a crocodile, which they named Omelette. Forest animals were first afraid of the green baby, and then loved him for his kindness and cheerful disposition. True, not all of them. Badger said that the crocodile, when he grows up, will swallow everyone. One day after a thunderstorm their quiet river overflowed, and the turbulent stream began to carry the ducklings away from the shore. The omelet rushed after them, opened its mouth and slammed it shut with the ducklings. Was the badger right?
British author Steve Smallman came up with a story about true friendship, which breaks stereotypes, helps to get rid of habitual fears and look at the world in a new way. And a young French artist Joelle Dreidemi has drawn funny and touching illustrations for this story.
