A story straight out of childhood, The Adventures of Cipollino continues to capture the hearts of kids around the world.
When Cipollino's father is imprisoned for kicking Prince Limon's leg, the fearless onion boy is not left behind, because he is always ready to come to the aid of his friends and family. To free his father, Cipollino will have to go through many obstacles, and in the end he will help not only his father, but also many other inhabitants of the fruit and vegetable country and will make new friends. The author of the fairy tale is Gianni Rodari - an Italian writer, the winner of the most prestigious award in children's literature - the G.-H. Andersen Award. The illustrations for the tale were prepared by Viktor Chizhikov, the famous Soviet artist, the "father" of the Olympic teddy bear. The fairy tale is in full classical translation by Zlata Potapova, an expert on Italian literature.
