The first publication of the book by Samuel Marshak “Adventure on the Road” with illustrations by Yuri Uzbyakov – a professional cartoonist, a permanent author of the children’s humorous magazine “Merry Pictures”, the creator of many funny, mischievous, sharp drawings. A book about a cat who escaped from a truck on the way to the dacha was prepared for publication in 1956, but never saw the light of day.

When the whole company with cats in their arms returns to the truck, it turns out that the culprit of the turmoil has returned on his own and is fast asleep in his basket “... on the truck.” / He walked around the yards / Ate a frog for breakfast / And hurried back himself / On a soft pillow.
The undoubted advantage of the book is the beautiful dynamic portraits of all the participants in the incident – adults, children and cats, made by the artist Yuri Uzbyakov.
