The article describes the technology of creating autonomous robots based on the Raspberry Pi single-board computer and developing programs for them in C++. The principles of writing and examples of code for the motor drive controller are shown, methods of using sensors to detect obstacles and building maps based on lidar data are demonstrated. Methods of development of own algorithms of autonomous planning of motion trajectory are described, the code for automatic sending of waypoints to the drive controller is given. C++ libraries for writing programs for mapping and navigation of autonomous robots are considered, information about using Raspberry Pi GPIO hardware interface pins is given. The electronic archive on the publisher's website contains the code of the programs described in the book.
