Sergei Alexandrovich Snegov (1910–1994) was not only a renowned science fiction writer who imagined a world of the distant future, but also the author of autobiographical books recounting his experiences at a specific time in a very specific place in the universe: the Soviet Union, in the mid-20th century. His collection, "Under the Eternal Stars," is a unique continuation of his confessional "Book of Genesis." Here, Sergei Snegov recounts his years spent in prison, a labor camp, and exile in Norilsk, the customs that prevailed in places "not so remote," and the people with whom fate brought him together.
