"Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens" (1906) is a fairy tale by Scottish writer James Barrie (1860–1937), his earliest work about a boy who refused to grow up. This story reveals what happened to the indefatigable Peter Pan before he became the leader of the Lost Boys and met young Wendy. The text is presented in a translation by Doctor of Philology Nina Mikhailovna Demurova (1930–2021). Illustrations were provided by the renowned English artist Arthur Rackham (1867–1939).
