Georgy Vladimirovich Ivanov is a Russian poet and prose writer, the largest author of the first wave of emigration.

“Petersburg Winters” is a memoir prose, a monument to the era of the disappeared St. Petersburg. The book takes the reader to the streets and embankments of the post-revolutionary city, in the cafe "Stray Dog's Basement", in the apartment-tower of Vyacheslav Ivanov. On the pages come to life the figures of writers of the Silver Age: Akhmatova, Mandelstam, Kuzmin, Sologub, Yesenin, Gumilev and many others. Emigration, death, acceptance of Soviet power – each of them will choose its own path.

The publication also includes selected poems.
