Christmas was coming. A walnut sleeper named Sonya Oreshkina was preparing for the holiday. She had just finished cleaning and was going to bake her favorite cookies, but it turned out that her pantry did not have the right products. “What if I ran to my neighbors?” thought the little sleepy. - Can they help?

In the trunk of a thick tree, where Sonya arranged a house for herself, there were many other tenants: Mrs. Dyatlova with her family, and Belochka, and Horek, and Mrs. Myshkina, and Mother Jerzykha, and Uncle Raccoon. All of them also prepared for the holiday – cleaned up, decorated their homes, waited for guests and fussed in the kitchen. Everyone was spinning, everyone needed help. Each of the neighbors Sonya helped to manage business, and they, in turn, from the heart offered the main character everything necessary for her cookies. And when Sonya finally baked it, she invited everyone to her tea. At the common table, the neighbors cheerfully and amicably celebrated Christmas.

This is a warm story about good-neighborliness, mutual assistance, concern and the spirit of the main winter holiday. At the end of the book, readers will find a simple recipe for a very tasty cookie that can be prepared by the whole family.
