Ulrike Meinhof was a prominent German journalist, educator, communist, and partisan. In post-war West Germany, where power belonged to former functionaries of the Hitler regime and war criminals of the Third Reich, she was the first to raise her voice against the creeping neo-fascism of the Adenauer regime. Meinhof actively exposed NATO militarism, the lies of the "democratic" party, the SPD's anticommunism, and American military aggression. She consistently defended peace and fought against NATO warmongers. Ultimately, the semi-fascist regime forced her into hiding. Together with Gudrun Ensslin and Andreas Baadermoon, she founded the Red Army Faction (RAF). This organization terrified West German elites and neo-fascists for forty years. The best works of Ulrike Meinhof, her brilliant journalism, are collected in this book.
