We present you the first volume of the book on arms and armor of Central Asia. The first part of the book we have devoted to the foreign and internal policy of khanates in the period from the end of XVIII-beginning of XX centuries. In the second part we told about weapons and armor of Central Asia. Here we talked about a checkers, battle axes, spears, maces, tassels and sabers.
We traced the history of long ancient weapons. They singled out types of sabers in Central Asia. Thus, they told about "shamshir" and "pulvar" sabers. Conducted a comparative analysis of their scabbards, described the hilt.
They also described a tabar from a private collection in Germany. We examined the ornamentation of the hilt up close, supplemented the description with a detailed vivid illustration of the weapon.
In the book presented materials from archives. Demonstrated weapons from the collection of the Military History Museum of Artillery, Engineering and Communication Forces. We published photos and illustrations of weapons items that you will see here for the first time.
