One night, a young poultry farm owner named Chinonso, walking across a bridge, saw a woman trying to jump into the river. His unexpected appearance saves Ndali from death. This meeting becomes the beginning of their love, but they cannot be together because they are on different levels of the social hierarchy.
However, this does not become a barrier for Chinonso, he sees in Ndali the meaning of his life, so he sells all his property in Nigeria and goes to Cyprus to get an education, hoping to get her hand in marriage.
This story could have been a beautiful romantic fairy tale, but in reality Chinonso is cruelly deceived, left alone in a foreign country without money or shelter. Like Homer's hero, he drifts further and further away from his dream, his home and his former life.
He fights fiercely against fate, but under its blows the young man's kind heart fills with black bitterness.
