The book continues the "children's silent movie" series by German artists Doro Göbel and Peter Knorr. The earlier books in the series are "Out of Town" (2012) and "In the Circus" (2012). This time the action of the book unfolds on the streets of a small modern town. On 7 spreads readers will have to live one exciting, eventful day - from morning until the evening. There are about two dozen main characters in the book, who must be found on each spread and trace how the day turned out. And that's not counting the other numerous inhabitants of the town, with whom something happens on every page. On the pages of the book you can find representatives of more than 60 professions! There is a veterinarian, a baker, a glass washer, a waitress, a florist, a dentist, mechanics, musicians, cab drivers, salesmen, builders, lifeguards, and so on. Adults can discuss with the child what people do in this or that profession, and at the same time ask what their young reader wants to become in the future. Looking at the book, children will learn to see and notice details, trace logical connections between events, independently compose a story based on pictures. In addition to the fact that this book is informative and, of course, developing, it will be able and just laugh, and give a good mood for both children and adults, because the artists did not skimp on jokes and funny moments. For example, the voracious raccoon, who tries to steal food from the window cleaner, the construction worker, or the vegetable seller, cannot but cause a smile. And a witty story with a mammoth bone, found by an excavator during road works and after many adventures found its place in the city museum. There are so many story lines in the book that it is impossible to follow them all at once. They intertwine, intersect, happen simultaneously, as in a real movie - and as in real life!
