The textbook is published in two volumes.
Volume 1 presents laws and concepts - the mandatory content of chemical education. Along with general concepts of chemistry, educational historical excursions, educational examples of how to use the Periodic Table, the basics of thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, solution chemistry, the basics of the structure of matter and coordination chemistry of complex compounds are presented. Some sections end with assignments, for which detailed solutions and answers are given at the end of the textbook.
Volume 2 presents the chemistry of the elements. The material is grouped into blocks of elements: s-elements, p-elements, d-elements, f-elements. Each chapter examines the chemistry of elements belonging to one group of the Periodic Table. Each chapter ends with tasks, the answers to which can be found in the material presented in the textbook or by using additional sources of information.
The reference material necessary for solving many problems is posted on the publisher's website.
