This textbook, written by faculty from the Lomonosov Moscow State University of Technology and Technology and the Faculty of Chemistry at Lomonosov Moscow State University, presents a course in general and inorganic chemistry in accordance with the curriculum for chemical engineering majors. Volume 1 covers laws and concepts—required content for chemistry education. Each chapter examines the chemistry of elements belonging to a single group of the Periodic Table.
