Once Samuil Marshak commissioned Jan Larry (1900-1977) to write a book about science for children in an entertaining form. Such a book was destined to become the story "The Extraordinary Adventures of Karik and Vali". For the first time this book saw the light of day in 1937 and had tremendous success. The book was reprinted several dozen times, it was made into a movie (1987) and a cartoon (2005). This amazing story about a brother and sister, Karik and Valya, who, having drunk a magic elixir, shrank to the size of a grain of sand and found themselves in the world of plants and insects. Here reign their own laws, and the guys have a hard time, because at every step they are in danger. But a wise professor rushes to their aid - he immediately guessed what had happened to the boys.
