The Tu-114 was developed under the difficult conditions of the Cold War and was vital to the country, once again demonstrating to the world its concern for the Soviet people and the peace-loving policies of the socialist state.
The difficulty of creating such a complex aircraft with intercontinental range lay in the fact that it incorporated the most advanced technologies of the time, developed in our country ten years after the Great War, which devastated the country but did not dampen the enthusiasm of the engineers, technicians, and workers who contributed to the Tu-114's creation.
This aircraft connected continents separated by oceans, helped Cubans defend their independence, and was decommissioned when the more advanced Il-62M airliner replaced it.
It would seem that grateful descendants should have forever preserved the memory of this landmark airliner, but business for profit destroyed the symbol of Domodedovo Airport. Today, Russians can only admire this single example of this airliner in the parking lot of the Central Air Force Museum. Everything else was destroyed, and this book is intended to remind Russian citizens of the former glory of the domestic aviation industry.
